Clean & Prosperous began over a decade ago as an alliance of ambitious, optimistic leaders who believed that business can be a force for progress.
Founded by the late David Giuliani, a celebrated entrepreneur best known for co-inventing the Sonicare toothbrush and Clarisonic skin care system, the organization was built on the conviction that climate solutions can and must deliver both environmental and economic benefit. In the final decade of his life, David turned his focus to the urgent challenge of climate change, bringing together leaders from across sectors and ideologies to pursue pragmatic, data-driven solutions. His leadership helped pave the way for Washington state’s Climate Commitment Act-widely regarded as one of the most comprehensive and effective pollution reduction policies in the world.
Today, Clean & Prosperous carries that legacy forward by advancing practical, effective entrepreneurial approaches to decarbonization and economic growth. We publish original research, convene public- and private-sector stakeholders, engage in meaningful conversations, and provide expertise about clean energy, carbon reduction, transportation electrification, manufacturing innovation, rural economy revival and more.
